My sun is in Pisces, I love rainy days indoors, and I don't care about my color analysis because I'm going to wear black clothes and silver jewelry anyway. 

As a creative, a lot of my power comes from the proverbial 'crossroads': the point at which two apparently opposite directions meet for a moment of harmony. I've learned that the true challenge doesn't lie in making a choice, but in making space for plurality. I would say this about my Black-American and French/British heritage. I would say the same about my bisexuality. At different times in my life, I've been closed off by dictatorial religious spaces; and at other times, I've opened up in free, queer ones. The tension between these experiences and identities is explored through the serial short story collection which is my debut work, Siena's Scarlet Letters - Stories of Love, Life, and Kink. My hope is that readers get lost in these varied and subversive portraits of desire, while finding themselves a little more at the same time. 

I hold an ARCT in piano performance, specializing in late Classical and early Romantic styles (think Tchaikovsky, Chopin). This is where I get my dark, focused intensity from, and my intuition for a passionate, but well-timed crescendo. With my CertHE Psychology and continuing studies, I find it fascinating to examine the mysteries of the mind and relational ties.
